“And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:3

On November 29th, 2012, the United Nations General Council voted 138-9 in favor to recognize the Palestinian state. The vote set the beginning toward the coming establishment of a divided Israel. Under the U.N. vote, this ratification which passed on the 29th, will allow Palestinians to file charges at the International Criminal Court against Israeli officials, this literally means that Israeli officials could be brought to trial before the court.

Tzipi Livini appointed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to lead the peace talks, was vital in helping to establish talks to bring about the coming Palestinian statehood. Though many believers have been unfortunately taught there would be no divided Israel, the prophetic words of the Bible say otherwise. “For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.” Zechariah 14:2

Notice what the prophet Zechariah said in that verse, that HALF of the city will go into exile, but the REST of the people shall not be cut off. The idea is simple, Zechariah was describing a future event where one half of Jerusalem would be under control of another party – the Palestinians. It’s also interesting to note that Secretary of State John Kerry stated that a treaty which will allow the formation of a Palestinian state (except for Jerusalem) would be established by April, 2014.  Though Jerusalem will not included in this ratification treaty, all of Judea will – just as the word of God says. Jesus said in Matthew 24:15-18, ““Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.  Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.”

We are seeing the fulfillment of this verse occur now, when those Jews who are living in Judea, under the soon to come treaty already in process sees that the signing of this come, then they will know it is only a matter of time before the establishment of a 3rd temple and the coming desolation. The Palestinians will control ALL of Judea by 2017 under the new Palestinian state.

So who exactly is pushing for this? The names would surprise many. Prime Minister Netanayhu, Tzipi Livini, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, President Barack Obama and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. But it was Clinton who came up with the “Clinton Parameters”. What is the Clinton ParametersClinton proposed: A Palestinian state, including 94-96% of the West Bank; Israeli annexation of settlements in blocks, with 80% of the current settler population; in East Jerusalem, Arab areas for the Palestinians and Jewish ones for the Israeli; temporary international and Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley en long-term presence of 3 Israeli-controlled “early warning stations”; Palestinian sovereignty over its own airspace; return of refugees only to the Palestinian state, in principle. The Parameters did not mention Gaza at all, but Clinton declared on 7 January 2001, that the Palestinian state would include the Gaza Strip. The proposed percentage of the West Bank the Palestinians would get, however, was ambiguous, as the Israelis did not include the annexed areas in East Jerusalem, the no-man’s land and the Palestinian part of the Dead Sea.This would decrease the Israeli offer some 5%.

It was President Obama who agreed and accepted the “Clinton Parameters”. Part of the agreement will allow both Muslim and Jew to share the temple mount. On August 8th, 2012, a Knessit Bill was presented to the Israeli court for this proposal AND to allow the re-building of a new, 3rd temple!

Again, what we are witnessing IS a divided Israel coming just as the prophets have foretold and what God has told us in his word. Jesus told us to look for signs which would occur just before his coming, those signs are quickly appearing all around us and shouting that our time is short and the world is quickly racing toward the judgment. How long do we have before the return we do not know. But Jesus told us to watch and pray and monitor the things around us, and if these events are in fact the signs of the coming tribulation as I believe they are, then our hour of testing and then removal is sooner than we thought.

It is important that we understand prophecy, that we understand the words of the prophets that were established nearly 4,000 years ago, for the soon coming of the Lord is not far away and only those who are actively looking and working for his return will know the hour in which time as we know it will be ended and a new dawn will begin. Keep looking and keep working.
