““If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 13:1-3

Jeanne Dixon, the late psychic to the stars, claimed that her gift of “prophecy” came thru the means of a snake. Jeanne stated that a python slid into her bed, wrapped itself around her and as she lay gripped and bound, the snake looked at her, face to face. The python then began to speak and began to reveal the “deeper” things of God and gave her the gift of prophecy. For several nights following the first encounter, Miss Dixon would encounter the same python over and over as it would slip into her bed, wrap itself around her and speak into her spirit to give her the ability to speak to others of the future.

The Greek word for divination literally means PYTHON, so it’s ironic that Jeanne would encounter such a spirit, but a spirit nonetheless it was. This spirit was a demon, manifesting as a snake, it’s ability to reveal certain future events before they would occur are all based on the spirit of divination.

The word of God says that we are not to seek mediums, psychics and witches, for they are guided by Satan and his minions which are demons. (Leviticus 19:31) Yet there is another spirit which is seeking to guide the believer into falsehood and it’s growing rapidly in the church and it’s under the guise of prophecy.

Please understand, I believe in the prophetic, I operate under that gifting myself, but as someone who has seen many things in the realm of the supernatural, who has faced very real demonic forces, from demonic possessions to the occult (I’ve had my life threatened by some in the occult), I’ve equally seen God move in a powerful way through the gift of prophecy. But lately I’ve been seeing a trend in many Pentecostal and Charismatic circles where the false is becoming celebrated, and worse – worshiped.

From the false prophecies of Kim Clement, to the spiritualist Manasseh Jordan, to the mystics of John Crowder, Todd Bentley and Patricia King, to the contemplative prayer teacher – Heidi Baker, the enemy is quickly inducing into the body of Christ false wolves, disguised as “prophets” and leading many astray.

The spirit of divination is occurring more and more frequently in many churches across the nation and by the growing acceptance, it’s getting worse. At almost any time of day or night, one can find on any particular Christian network so called “prophets” giving words of blessing, prosperity, financial abundance, anything and everything which makes the believer comfortable and not make them desire to remain free from sin is becoming more desirable and to those who are uttering these mystical words – profitable.

There are MANY spirits in this world, and these spirits are manipulating people into believing crazy doctrines, or convincing them they are hearing from God, but whatever is being said goes against the word itself. People need to start discerning ANYTHING which comes as “truth” and judging it by the word of God. Don’t believe just any spiritual source and take it at face value, but JUDGE that source, or “word”, or prophecy, or teacher, or preacher and line it up with what God said, then you’ll know whether it’s from God OR, from a demonic source.

Satan is cunning, he’s been on this earth long before you or I or even Adam was created, he knows how to deceive because he’s been doing it for thousands of years, which makes him a master of deception. Stay in the word, stay in prayer and JUDGE everything!

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

I agree with you but keep off Benny HInn- God’s still working with him and through him. The others (most) have brought another gospel, you’re right,it’s mysticism. It’s very ‘feelings oriented,so again I agree, familiar spirits are at work where the flesh is promoted;where signs are given premeninence over the pure preaching of the gospel message. “Love” seems to be the message. Watch out. Love didn’t save us. The Cross did save and is saving us. I am “friends” with several evangelists on FB who are following many of these people. I have perceived they are deceived and am trying to win them back to Truth. This is a last ditch effort of Satan to destroy the Church. He will not win,but we have to keep our heads up and truly love one another the way Jesus intended; with doctrine, with reproof, edifying each other with the Word, etc;serving each other this way with all humility..

Benny Hinn is a heretic. Too many sources to cite here regarding this. You follow him or defend him at your own peril.

God is Love. Faith hope and Love, but the greatest of these is Love. Jesus drew people to him with His abundant love and exuberant joy. Not because he accused and judged. How are these people deceived? I have been to Mozambique with Heidi Baker she gets down in the dirt and loves the unlovable. She shares God’s love in the most beautiful, pure way- without expecting anything in return. Have you seen the smile of an abandoned, abused babies face, covered in scabies and dirt who is fully loved and accepted and cared for by this amazing woman and her family? She has adopted more kids than you can imagine, started well over 300 orphanages and created a system in a war torn 3rd world country where young people are receiving the Love of GOD, school and training so that they don’t have to live in poverty and sadness. God is using her and her husband to change a nation! Look at her fruit? Is that satan? Thousands saved. People healed. The miracles God has worked in Mozambique are never ending!

God is using Benny Hinn to see millions of lives changed. And Rick Joyner has so much wisdom and insight in the political realm for the church. This list can go on and on…

Have you contacted any of the accused to ask them about your accusations? Did you give them a chance to speak? How does bashing leaders in the church on social media do anything to bring the church together or accomplish anything positive? If its not life giving what good is it? How is it God?

We are all human, we all make mistakes, we all have our faults. Isn’t it time to forgive? No one in the Bible was without fault. Isn’t it time to Love like Jesus did? Yes we are saved because Jesus died on the cross and gave us something we don’t deserve, free of charge! He wiped away the law and installed grace. He erased and forgot our sin. He opened His arms wide to us and gave us love like we never have know. Why can’t we do this for our brothers and sisters in Christ? Why do we need to judge, slander, and cut down? Aren’t our lives supposed to mirror that of Jesus’. We are the apple of His eye. We are to reflect Him. We are to see others not for how they are now, but how God sees them. Who He has called them to believe. When we spend all our time looking through our own eyes all we can see is what we have been conditioned to see. The negative. But when we stop and see what God sees we see beauty and we are able to prophecy and call out the treasures in people. We can encourage people to become who they are called to be. Negativity and Judgement will never do that. They only bring death.

    • Murl says:

God is not only a God of love, but a God of judgment and wrath. True love judges, and God is the only true judge. When you prooftext 1 Corinthians 13 as your only source of scripture you are missing the message of the Gospel, which is first and foremost, redemption from sin. If there is no sin, and no redemption, then Jesus didn’t need to die on the cross for anything, and the resurrection is meaningless at that point.

Jesus spoke about hell and death more often than heaven in the Gospels.

You’ve worked with Heidi Baker? That is my dream. I would love to learn how you partnered with Iris Global. How exactly did you get there?
