HEAVEN IS FOR REAL: WHEN SATAN USES CHILDREN TO DECEIVE

“As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:9

There is a deception which seems to be sweeping within the church world and it seems to be getting bigger and wider almost daily now and by the looks of it, it’s engulfing many within its wake. This deception comes in many forms, from false teachings or signs and wonders, to personal revelations which are contrary to the word. The fact is, whatever Satan has planned, he’s making the most of it in these last days. Which brings me to the latest in a long line of quackery – heaven trips.

Let me state without reservation that I do believe in visions and prophetic dreams. I believe God is able to do whatever he so desires to bring about change in people’s lives. That being said, I do not believe God is giving people daily access to heaven in the form of out of body experiences and near death events, or, in the case of some of the apostolic leaders currently making outlandish claims today, taking a trip to heaven on a whim. Everything God does serves a purpose, and that purpose is to warn the wicked of eternity without him in a place called hell. God is so concerned about eternity, that he spent more time warning men to repent than he did of his blessings. That is the nature of God, because he desires none to perish (2 Peter 3:9).

Most of these so called heavenly trips have all a common theme – bliss. But not once do the majority of those who have claimed to have went to heaven ever came back pleading with sinners to repent. Instead, the glimpses they said they were given were to amuse the believer into seeing heaven for themselves, the problem with this line of thinking? The focus is on the creation and not on the creator. Anytime the focus is on the perfect, but not on God himself, then something is amiss. This is the result of a powerful demonic experience whose sole intention is to place the believers thoughts on heaven rather than on Christ who gives them the right to even go there. But some would argue that there have been some men and women who have seen heaven and have returned with “some” limited knowledge. I agree. However, if it’s to be noted, each and every time someone has claimed to have seen the great city, there is more to which they have not uttered, or even were allowed to speak of. Why? I don’t know. But we know that in those rare cases men have been allowed to catch a glimpse of the afterlife, in each time it was all directly connected to the word of God, it did not depart from it.

It must be understood that everything that comes in the name of the Lord must align itself with the word. There must be a spirit of truth surrounding anything which speaks of a God given dream or vision. If it does not align itself with the word, then it must be rejected. If it strays one bit from truth, if it adds to the word, if it deminishes the word it equally must be denounced as false, no exceptions. The fact remains, anything outside the parameters of God’s word is false. (Deut. 13:1)

Which brings me to Heaven is Real.

Heaven is Real tells the story of four-year-old Colton Burpo and his near death experiences in heaven due to an emergency appendectomy. The “true” story, retold by his father but using Colton’s simple words, desires to offer a glimpse of the world that awaits us. The problem? That Colton tells us in his book actually runs contrary to the word, and in some cases adds to it, while in other cases is based on extra-biblical revelation. Not only does Colton tell us another story of the gospel, but throughout the book, gives more revelation, revelation which seems to surpass scripture. That is the danger we find ourselves in when we begin to accept something outside the parameters of the word and why, when we examine Colton’s story (as we will in this article), the things he states through the words of his father, suggest something else at work here – a dark deception.

When we understand the supernatural, we realize that there are two factions at play, one a Godly power, that guides us, strengthens us and loves us and wants the best for us. However, there is a darker, more sinister faction which is constantly trying to destroy us, deceive us and ultimately lead us astray. This is Satan and those fallen angels who went with him in the fall. The apostle Paul summed it in Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

The truth is, Satan is a liar and the father of lies, and many times he will come as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), masquerading as a source of truth, but that truth is a twisting of the word to make it seem as though it is truth, when in reality it is a lie – a deadly lie. This explains what often occurs in ghostly apparitions, from UFO’s to the sighting of the virgin Mary, the result is people are deceived into thinking that what they are seeing is a sign from God, when in reality the event is made to draw men away from Christ and the word. In Colton’s case, I am firm in my belief, based on reading the book and all its “revelations” of heaven, that what the young boy (Colton) saw and projects in the book is not only a clever lie, but worse, it sends another message, not that man should repent, turn from his sin, but that heaven, as well as God, are a universal message for a unification of all faiths.

It’s interesting that in the special movie edition of Heaven is for Real, screenwriter/director – Randall Wallace, states that he uses the phrase, “What you believe affects what you perceive” [pg. 183]. Most readers would read that comment and flip the page, but if we actually read at what is being said and research what is being stated in the book, as well as the upcoming film, the term he uses is a new age term. So why would the writer and director use new age terminology? Because it fits into the them of the book – universalism.

A spoon full of sugar.

It’s an old adage that if you want to get a child to take their medicine, try a little sugar first. It’s the same with a false gospel, use a little truth to gain the trust of the people, even if that truth comes in the form of a four-year-old. Satan knows no boundries, he has no compassion nor love for you or me, anymore than he does for Colton Burpo. Satan will use whatever it takes to deceive, even Colton. Now some might say I’m being harsh on a small child, but it’s not the child who is at fault here, the blame revolves around the enemy of our soul, but at some point I have to question the wisdom and discernment of Colton’s father – Todd Burpo. How can a pastor of a large church, who supposedly knows the word inside and out, be fooled into such a deceit? I believe the answer is simple, they simply do not know the truth to begin with.

Let’s look at those claims Colton makes in his story:

In Colton’s revelation, he states that he met Jesus, who was not only the Saviour of the world, but also a school teacher [pg. 71] In Colton’s vision, Jesus gave out homework assignments to children. Yes, you read that right – children. The fact is, there are no children in heaven. Colton declares on page 95-96 that children do run and play in heaven, but where did they come from? The truth is, no where do we see children being depicted in the word, nor even in John’s account in his Revelation to the church. The sad fact is, this is deception.

Everyone has wings in heaven [pg. 72]. The fact is, only cherubims have wings, not angels and most certainly not the saints in heaven.

The book is pro-Catholic. In Colton’s story he states that Mary is highly favored and stands next to Jesus and is praised, he even suggests that Mary still treats Jesus as her son [pg. 152-153]. Once again, we have unscriptural support for something which is not true. Although Mary, while on earth, was highly favored, she was still a sinner, she still needed a savior and she still needed the blood of Jesus to set her free from sin. This is a ploy to bring universal appeal to the book for Catholics, encouraging them in their deception.

Colton states he was given past life situations of his own father’s childhood [pg. 88-94]. For what purpose was Colton given a message about events in his father’s life when he was a young boy? The only answer to that is in the context given, it was to deceive. 1 Corinthians chapter 12 speaks about 9 specific gifts, one of those gifts is the word of knowledge, the ability to know something which has past that the person speaking could not have possible known. However, in each time a word of knowledge is given, it is established so the person receiving that particular word will turn to Christ in their situation they are facing. In this case, what Colton says is the information he gained while unconscious during the operation was to help his father believe everything he was telling him, this borders on witchcraft. Demonic spirits do this thru mediums and psychics to enable to gain favor over any skepticism which would come from such revelation. The truth is, whenever God gives a specific word of knowledge it will always point people to the cross, not to something whose agenda is to deceive.

The dead sister with no name.

One of the most disturbing claims young Colton cites in his claim is the visitation of his long departed sister who died while in the womb of her mother – Sonja, Colton’s mother. This young girl approached Colton while in heaven [pg.95-97] and told him she was his dead sister, but she had no name. Seems in Colton’s heaven those children who die in birth or through abortion, have no names, that God cannot name them. What bothers me even more is how in Colton’s revelation there is sadness in heaven, this runs counter to the word itself, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

In Colton’s vision, Satan is not permitted into heaven [pg. 133], this too is unscriptural (Job chapters 1&2).

Colton states that only those in heaven have bodies, that sinners will never have a body nor have a body after death [pg.136]. This is against the word, as Jesus himself states in Luke 16, that the rich man lifted up his eyes being in torment.

In an even more startling depiction of universalism, Colton, as well as his father cite in page 166, how that a Palestinean woman read the book and not once ventured into the belief that one must be saved, born again to go to heaven. For her, she believed this was a way to simply relate to her muslim family members. Which brings me to my main point against this book.

The book itself is not a compelling reason for sinners to repent, actually, the book itself is a serious hindrance to the gospel for it presents a message of universal appeal regardless who reads it, be it Mormon, Catholic, Jew or Muslim, the overall sentiment is an emphasis on heaven and not on Christ. This adds to the problem found in many of these types of claims, it does not cause sinners to repent, but it softens the message of the cross where the universal focus is that everyone can find faith in their perception of what heaven is, to not only the Christian, but to the Muslim. The book presents a message that all roads lead to God, but whose God? The God of Islam? The God of paganism? The God of Christianity? Let me quote the writer himself, Randall Wallace; “The question of faith is a powerful one because it’s also the question of choice. Do we have a choice in what we believe? There are those people who say I don’t believe in God. That doesn’t trouble me. C. S. Lewis, who was the great voice of Christianity throughout the last century, considered himself an atheist most of his life. I don’t think that the label anyone gives limits them, and I don’t think we should allow our own labels to limit each other. But it’s our sense that we just might find out that life is greater than we have ever imagined, that love might really happen, that we might not only find love but we might also give it – that, to me, is faith.”

Now, I want to quote what Jesus said in John 3:3 “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The fact is, Wallace has it all wrong, not only does he have his entire concept of what faith is wrong, he is completely ignorant of the cross and why the cross is needed in the life of a person who needs Christ. This is at the core of the most troubling aspects of this book brings into those who will read it, it has a form of religion, it produces no desire to repent, and it projects a concept where everyone is welcome, no change within their heart truly is needed. This is heresy.

The final problem with the book is the families deep connection to Akiane Kramarik, a young woman who by her own statements, is a believer in new age mysticism. Her supposed drawings of Jesus, which Colton states is in fact the real Jesus, proves that there is a deep deception sweeping this world as no other time in history. Why is this? The reason is simple, the enemy knows his time is short and that he has to hurry to bring many into bondage. The truth is, neither Colton nor Akaine have ever seen God face to face as they claim. Neither Colton nor Akaine, have any discernment of what they saw, the fact is, they were children at the time of their deception and by all accounts, they were duped into a lie, used by Satan to deceive the masses, i.e., spoon full of sugar.

For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians.

The truth is, Heaven is for Real is a deception meant for one thing – to deceive. While it is nice to think about a child being shown the heavenlies, we already know what the word says for that which is yet to come, why do we continue to flock toward the false? I believe it’s a result of a lack of genuine scriptural teachings found in many pulpits across the nation. Yes, there has always been deception, Satan has not changed his method, the only difference today is, we are later in the hour of the end of the age than we were nearly 2,000 years ago. This makes us to consider that the closer we get to the end of this age, the greater deception will become more active, gaining the trust of all those who would hear.

There is but one reason why these books and claims are growing these days, because it’s to disarm the church for when the greater and more dangerous deception comes upon the earth. The fact is, gain the trust of many and you’ll be ready to enslave the masses later on, why? Because they believed the subtle lie at the beginning, which made it easier to believe the greater lie. A spoonful of sugar.

Stay away from this book, leave it alone and stick with the Bible. You won’t come away confused if you do.

While I attempted to read your thoughts on “Heaven is so Real,” I purposefully stopped at your 1st argument. Jesus told his disciplines too “suffer the little children not for such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Which parts of the Bible do we believe and what parts do we through out? I for one, and stand amount the majority of believers, believe all aborted and children dying before adulthood are in Heaven (which haven’t reached the age of accountability). While they may mature faster than we would here on earth, they arrive as they were on earth.

In these last days, greater works shall be done. Don’t sell God short!

Kids or no one expect a few exceptions from Biblical times are in Heaven. All that die are dust to dust. When one dies the soul, which was the breath that God breathed into Adam is “no more” the body goes to dust but the soul goes back to God who created it. But, the soul is “asleep” death is referred to as sleep throughout the Bible. When Jesus comes back for his church the dead in Christ will rise along w/saved a alive & meet him in the air. THEN, all that belong w/Jesus will go to Heaven. After 1000 years we all return to removed the anit-Christ from David’s throne. Then Jesus raises up the unsaved for judgment and hell is not a literal place. Jesus will burn them where they stand on earth with his breath. Some of what the article says is not Biblical like hell being an eternal place. Good article, gets the point of the movie etc made but it’s still off track as far as what the Bible says about Heaven & Hell. What I read about hell not being a place, must have been in one of their books but you can surly find that info on their site

I agree with you Chuck on your comments….but also on His views on Mary, etc, etc. Overall though I agree with his views and disagree that it was a biblical visitation into heaven because of the points he stated…also, HELL isn’t the final judgement (of sinners)…as mentioned in Revelations:….death, hell, and so on is called before God for judgement and then are thrown into the Lake of Fire (which is the final judgement)

Way to have an open mind and a studious nature about the Scriptures. As it happens modern Lamestream Christianity is the one that cherry-picks. Nobody goes to heaven–“Jesus” himself said so. He was the only one to go there. The spirit that YHVH gives returns to him, but our awareness is in the grave with the body. And my Bible says He’s going to be here on Earth so that’s where I want to be. 1) John 3:13 is the bedrock of the argument. Yeshua himself says, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” It doesn’t get more clear than that.

But in case that’s not enough:

      2) 1 Thess 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first…” meaning when you die, you “sleep” waiting for this great day. You’re not already in heaven when it happens. If you want to parse that out and say, “Oh, that’s talking about the bodies that rise—well, then you get into that whole debacle of what happens for folks whose bodies are not available due to having been chomped up and excreted by animals. ‘It happens.

      3) The Kings and the Chronicles repeat over and over and over again – such-and-such King of Israel died and “slept with his fathers,” not that they “went home to be with the Lord.”

      4) Enoch–Hebrews says he was “translated” and the Greek word there has the meaning of being moved from that place. He was rescued, not swooshed into heaven. Heaven isn’t even mentioned. He was “kept from death” much as you might keep your 2-year old from certain death if you run out and push them out of the way of a car.

      5) Elijah–was taken up with a whirlwind into “heaven,” but the folks there at the time started saying how they should try to go find him, so they didn’t think he went to THE “heaven.” (Three heavens: 1: the dwelling place of the Most High; 2: outer space—the realm of sun, moon, stars; and 3: the atmosphere of earth—as in “the heavens withhold their rain.”) Heaven could mean, as it does in Genesis, the immediate atmosphere so it might have been a tornado. We read that Elijah wrote a letter several years later to Jehoram, King of Judah. Kinda tough to post a letter from heaven.

      6) The Rich Man and Lazarus. Lazarus was carried to “Abraham’s Bosom,” which is a term the Jews would understand as a place of comfort for the righteous awaiting Judgment Day. Certainly, had Yeshua meant “heaven,” He had every opportunity to say that—but He didn’t. The rich man died and “was buried.” And then at some later time that can’t be verified as immediate or otherwise in this parable, he pleads to Avi Abraham for relief.

      7) Lk 23:43 The KJV reads “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” The Greek has no punctuation–it was added. If we move the comma it reads: Verily I say unto thee today, thou shalt be with me in paradise. That makes more sense grammatically with “say…today” in the present tense and “thou shalt” indicating a future time. Yeshua Himself wasn’t even in paradise that day. He had not yet ascended to the Father by Sunday morning early. This clearly illustrates the doctrinal bias of the day influencing the translation.

      8) Paul—in responding to Corinthians who he says were boasting on this or another point of their godliness, talks about a certain man he knew who was “caught up to the third heaven” which most people believe was himself. This word “to” carries the sense of up until, as far as—not “into.” And if you look closely, Paul prefaces his remarks there by talking about visions and revelations—which the Corinthians had flying around like starlings—but the biggest clue is “this man” HEARD things that couldn’t be spoken of. He didn’t claim to have seen anything. Remind you of any occurrence in Paul’s life that we’re told about? Maybe when he saw heaven open up and was blinded?

      9) Oddly enough, ditto Stephen whom Paul had killed. When he was dying, he saw His Master arise at the right hand of YHVH. How glorious that moment must have been for Stephen. We are at a remove from royalty somewhat, so just understand, again, that kings don’t stand up for just anything or anybody. Stephen does say, “Receive my spirit”—no different from any other fervent humble prayer.
      10) Daniel 12:2 “And the many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

      11) John 5:28
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
      John 5:29
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Apparently the good and the wicked who are in their GRAVES shall come forth. They’re neither in heaven or hell.

This verse clearly tells where we are to spend forever and it’s not heaven: Deu 4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

Eze 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
Eze 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

I actually believe NDE’s (so-called Near Death Experiences) to be demonically inspired. Demons are party to human activities so they have not a problem in giving out tasty tidbits about, say, what others were doing when the so-called deceased “departed” or previously unknown information so as to have something like corroboration. They also have every investment in making that “experience” consistent so people will be duped into believing it to be “true” just based on frequency of reporting, that whole thing where you say something often enough and people come to believe it to be true. It serves their purpose for people, one, to think they will surely “go to heaven” regardless of what they do, and, two, to believe the Doctrinally Revised Version instead of taking the time to investigate the real deal of what Scripture actually has to say without all the baggage.

  2. Wow. All I can say is that I have never felt led by God to read about someone else’s account of Heaven, which is always outside of the Word of God. This is truly sad, seeing that a child is being used by a spirit of divination. We ought to pray for this little one and his father, who are both deceived. God have mercy! No one should get their theology from a book like this, or from a Hollywood movie. If you truly want to know about Heaven, Jesus , the Truth, God, the promises of God — READ. THE. BIBLE! The influence of the anti-christ spirit is at work here. This book is about pushing this ‘other’ ‘jesus’ that is more appealing to the witches and warlocks, and those are worshiping idols, and denies the deity of Christ, denies the efficacy of the Cross, and the Veracity of Scripture. Anything that comes against these is NOT OF GOD!!! Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they be of God or not! Any one who denies the Son, denies the Father.

    • And it’s very pro-catholic as well.

      • Anything that is antichrist, is going to be pro-catholic, pro-papacy, and anti-doctrine (against the sound teaching in the Word of God) and against the KINGDOM OF GOD in general. It is a usurper ‘kingdom’ that is trying to replace the truth, the true Kingdom. They believe they will rule this world and that all men shall bow at their feet, and whosoever does not bow to them, is not only fit for death, but fit for hell. These are blasphemers, haters of God! And seducers! Still, the devil aint’ got nothin’ new!

  3. Sabrina says:

This is a messed up article. I am related to this family. Have you read this book? I have. Unbelievable. This is indeed a Godly family that God hand picked to help reach a lost world to bring them to Jesus. Why do you think the father is a pastor? This article sickened me to read. This book gives us a glimpse about who He is! How much He loves us. He told told us to have the faith of a child and He doesn’t pick the dad to come to Heaven but a child because we are indeed to faith like a child. I could go on because I’m so beyond disgusted at this article but I will refrain. Leaving with this note, who is the one really trying to deceive? My family is a God Fearing family with multiple pastors including my dad, my grandpa who is the brother to Colton’s Grandpa. Sure there is always going to be people in your family who aren’t perfect but to proclaim that because one of your family members isn’t a Christian you must not be is far away from the truth. Let me remind you of Judas, one of Jesus very own disciples.

    • I do not receive anything from anyone whose message departs from scripture – even a small boy. The enemy will use anything or anyone to deceive, including Colton. I read the book and went through his vision detail by detail and the boy is wrong.

  5. Lynne says:

Luke 1619-31 is an interesting passage that speaks loudly. The rich man died and went to hell – he asked If he could return and warn his family but was told bluntly “they have Moses and the prophets let them hear them” We know there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun through the testimony of His Word. I believe the young boy had a supernatural experience but we must remember that there are familiar spirits waiting to deceive even the very elect. We must also be careful not to be led by our feelings and emotions. Any experience must be weighed against the Word of God. If this experience was of The Lord the fruit of its testimony should convict the sinner and lead them to repentance and a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. Did the book include a clear presentation of the Gospel?

    • No, there was no directive for anyone to come to Christ or how to come to Christ. Not once did the author ever mention how someone can come to Jesus for salvation – that in itself spoke volumes.

  6. Anonymous says:

I cannot speak for the book because I have not read it. But what I believe is that we who have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us are able to discern truth from error. I like Chuck Norris’ comment. I plan to see the movie and I may just read the book. I am a Christian and I am not afraid to read or see a movie. We have the Holy Spirit within us and he gives us discernment. The world we live in was designed by God. Should I fear going to see this movie because of what it can do to me? It can do nothing to me. I plan to use this as a tool for evangelism. The Apostle Paul said that “he became all things to all men so he might win some to Christ.” I am not going to condemn the movie or the book. I say leave it to those who see the movie or read the book to decide. And by the way, Heaven is for Real!!! God created heaven and it is and will be the dwelling place for humanity. Also, I love children and of such is the Kingdom of God. I believe that children will be in heaven for of such is the Kingdom. Jesus desire is that all be saved. I don’t have the last word on what Heaven is like and neither does anyone on this page. We see through a glass darkly. We know in part. We will know more in the future. Please don’t fear going to a movie because of a blog. Let Jesus be our Lord and let this movie and or book be a tool to disciple people for Jesus!!!

  8. Dana says:

It’s so refreshing to read a review like this. Instead of jumping on the American Gospel Bandwagon that praises anything and everything that mentions Jesus Christ, you’ve shown a very Biblically based example of how easily the church can be decieved and led astray. It reminds me of how the church fell in love with “The Shack “. Another new age piece of fiction meant to decieve the Bride of Christ. Keep on writing , Chris. Keep on spreading the true Gospel, and above all, stay pure.

  9. Anonymous says:

I read the book and I liked it. He’s a little boy and I’m sure some imagination got in there too. I’m going to see the movie too!

  10. I agree with you that the Colton Burpo story is a deception. I have seen demons perform better and more intricate deceptions on individuals and group. Shortly before I found this book many months ago, the Holy Spirit reminded me several times how EVERY time in my life I’ve met someone named “Todd”, that person was a betrayer. A family named Todd, lawyers, stole my corporation from me using a paper shuffle- then said they would frame me for embezzlement and send me to prison. It was Philadelphia, and they could do that. In the Marines, a “buddy” named Todd arranged for me to go on a trip with a gal who liked me… and then he swept in on my girlfriend, telling her I was having an affair. And, of course, there is Todd Bentley, one of the NAR subtly referenced above. Todd’s mentor, Bob Jones, used to claim he could go out of body at will and “visit heaven.”
Jones, imo, visited the same false heaven construct Colton, son of TODD Burpo, was taken to.
Demons can, and do, create false dreams, false visions, and false experiences. God’s angels today send us dreams. It’s part of their work for the Kingdom of God. It was an angel who took a message from God, via Jesus, to John on Patmos. John received the message as a vision (Revelation, nee Apocalypse.)
Just as the loyal angels still deliver visions, so do the fallen angels. They still know how to send a strong delusion.

  11. Darcy Newberry says:

If there are no children in heaven, what happens to the souls of the small one’s who die? Are they adult the instant their souls hit heaven? Please explain. Thank you.

    • Yes, they are fully mature. We are made up of three dimensions, spirit, soul and body. Once the body dies, it returns back to it’s original state – dust. Yet the spirit and soul return back to God (if they are saved), the spirit of man is mature, intelligent and fully aware. When a child dies at a young age, the body returns back to the earth, yet the soul and spirit go on to heaven, full aware and fully mature. There is no need of children in heaven because they cannot grow and mature, that’s an earthly trait, not an eternal trait. So that’s why there are no children in heaven, because things that pertain to earth stay earth bound, things which pertain to eternal things stay eternal.

I agree completely with your article. In fact, I came across it while researching the topic of false teachers to for a lesson in our homeschool.
However, I’m not sure we can give a blanket statement and say there are no children in Heaven. The Bible is not completely clear on that aspect and I think that’s one area we have to just wait and see. There are some, such as J. Vernon McGee, who speculate that perhaps when a child dies, he remains a child and their parents will have the chance to raise them in the millennial kingdom. I’m not sure about that, but we just don’t know. Isaiah 11:6 suggests that there will be children in Heaven, “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.”

      • Isaiah 11:6 refers to the 1,000 year reign on earth.

  12. Do you all hear yourselves? Your bickering back ,and forth about a freaking movie!! You make Christians look weak! So many opinions… How about just praying to the Lord and ask him for wisdom. If you are truly born again he will answer. Until then geez flip quit freaking arguing and making Christianity look weak. Amos 8:11

  13. Sonny says:

Notice all the false comments? not one of them give a Bible Verse to back their claim. The book the movie, all new age religion is what it is. The song by John Lennon titled Imagine, people say it was religious, sure was, new age religion with eastern under pinnings. He says in the song Imagine there’s no Heaven? No hell below us. Well how do you imagine either when JESUS told us plainly they both are real and they both exist? New age religion for the in croud. Lennon is the one who said the Beatles were more popular than JESUS, but in 1980 a bullet found the poor boys head. He was murdered.

Read that article and see scientific proof of what you said. The many you mentioned are in fact the 10% minority that need to be brainwashed to produce the shift in perception in the majority. I believe the 10% have already been brainwashed spiritually (~700 million people) and the process is now irreversible, meaning that they are only waiting to achieve majority now, these brainwashed people doing the spreading of their diseased belief system for them. That’s why you see all kinds of filth like this book everywhere these days, not to mention the staggering amount of witchcraft literature and media. Also important to mention is that this brainwashing covers multiple spectrums of human activity, so while they may wait for consensus to be achieved in one aspect, they may actively be involved in another one for the purpose of reaching that tipping point; for example, I don’t think many people agree with the idea of having a microchip implanted under their skin or with the transhumanist ideology.

By the way, notice also who funded that research…your best pals, the military.

    • The fact is that GOD has already said this in His Word: “A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.” Why do you think that Sodom and Gomorrah had to be destroyed? Because the whole of it was evil, and there was only one man in the whole city who was considered by God to be righteous. When the tipping point is to the max, which I agree, it is almost complete, then judgement!!! This is what is happening. The USA is under the wrath of God. Romans 1!

Maybe you should consider the fact that God does not have an adviser here on earth. He does not have to report to anyone should he decide to do/use watever/whoever that he wishes to use…to asure his children that HEAVEN IS FOR REAL.I have been visited by Jesus Christ before and yes the picture that Akiane Kramarick painted proves the child did go to heaven. That is how our Lord Jesus looks like, weather you believe it or not.I just hope and pray he comes to you …just so u stop trying to make everyone believe what you think.God help you!

  20. This article is nothing but total BS. What kind of a God would allow a so called Satan to deceive the afterlife is sick and sadistic? The Word of God is fake. I say it changes and everyone else says it changes and if your crazy sadistic God does not like it he can lump it.

  21. Dr P K Murphy THD says:

The Bible IS The word of God. It is also the Testament of Jesus Christ. Yes it is all you need, BUT it is not the end all handbook for heaven, or the all inclusive book of the universe and its creation. It is what He wants us to know. If God who said you must be like a child in faith to enter heaven wants to take a sick little boy who was very frightened and show him love, a horse and other children being loved by Jesus to bring him peace and help him get through a bad situation he could not understand, then so be it! When a child do the things of a child, as an adult do the things of an adult. What would you want Jesus to do? Should he show the child a heaven with no children or animals in it? Should he give a baby a vision of revelations? God is the God of so much more then we can conceive and so many more things that we can’t even be told. Believe me the devil is mot so kind because his biggest problem is understanding the concept of love, as in greater live has no man then this….. Let us get real here and let God be able to put a little child on his knee in heaven. Don’t know about you, but i am glade Jesus and Jesus alone is Lord and would show such fatherly love to a child.

  22. Shane says:

Dreams are not visions. I had many dreams as a child of being left behind in the rapture and nightmares of seeing your sadistic God cast people into hell fire. It is called manipulation and psychological terror that causes these dreams. From sick fire and brimstone Christians that put their dogma into little children’s minds. You people are the ultimate abusers.

  23. Shane says:

This is the reason why humanity is sick of this bull. It is scaring children and harming them psychologically. http://richarddawkins.net/2013/01/facebook-what-fears-you-faced-based-on-religion/

This whole world is a big deception, without the word of God I be a lost pecan. Most people believe they are free but are owned lock stock and barrel by the Zionist bankers, they owned my house , my bank account ,the court system, control our government through a debt system created by a bunch of traitor congressmen in1913 that pass the federal reserve system.
My whole life through college I was lied to by a educated system that has betrayed me my history degree I received never told me the real history of my country. One day these men who have cheated the USA out of countless trillions through fractional banking will have to look into the eyes of God, their punishment will be a eternal life in Hell and that will be the interest they will pay, I thank God to let me see the truth so I won’t be deceive and I pray for all my brothers in Christ the same.
This was a very interesting article because my wife has been driving me crazy to find the date Heaven is for Real will be release on Directv – I am debating to tell her about the deception because she tell me no way God would allow a 4 yr old boy to be con by the Satan

    • Philip says:

Two things: Jesus did it on earth and told others to let the children come to him. He played with them and loved them and rebuked those who said to leave him alone. Why wouldn’t he do the same in Heaven? He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Two: Lol if the devil thought he had a good idea for an angel of light deception the jokes on him!! Lol All i heard from sceptics and non believers is that they never saw him as such a father and loven God. i have also been told that if its real they want to know and will check it out. A few folks at work said they cried and want to get back to reading the bible. I can go on about so many ways people have been touched to seek Christ out. I must say if it was ment for bad God is sure turning people away from evil and back to good because of it. All i can say is Devil keep up the good work lol!

Hey Christopher, you might be interested to know that there has come out a new dvd that exposes this deception called “Hell Is For Real.” I seen it on the Cutting Edge Ministries online bookstore. Jesus wouldn’t have spent most of his ministry warning about a place that didn’t exist. Satan has always hated the young, whether through abortion or sacrifices to pagan idols. Anyone is crazy not to realize this. If Satan butchers babies then why is it hard for hypocrites to accept that he would deceive them? Jesus delivered a young boy from demonic possession. This happens but most fools refuse to face reality. I can go really long into why I don’t believe in any of these NDEs. But to put it short they contradict each other and the bible too.

  38. TLA says:

Of course an obvious reason this is false is necromancy, talking to the dead. But after hearing a lot of the hell experiences I don’t believe them either. For one thing they overglorify Satan as the king of hell and where he lives now, which contradicts the bible which says he is the prince of the power of the air. He can’t be both. They glorify Satan and demons as if they will never suffer but only torture human souls, which is a lie from the pits of hell. Why would God let the most evil being escape punishment? His word clearly says in Revelation 20:10 that Satan will be tormented day and night for all eternity. The bible proves them liars and we know where all liars go. Satan knows very well that he will not win against God because the bible says he rages for he knows his time is short. He himself knows that he will not escape and all his efforts to deceive now is only to drag as many as he can to share his punishment. His punishment is not hell but the lake of fire which hell itself will be emptied into. Hell is not eternal but the lake of fire is. How come these visions never mention the lake of fire? They are all liars. Satan has been and always will be a loser. So both sides of these so called experiences are false. The heaven (lying signs and wonders) experiences are meant to create a false sense of security so that hypocrites continue on in their rebellion against God without consequences. 1 John 5:3, “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world.” It is obvious that the majority of so called christians are not born of God because they deny and rebel against his commands which prove they do not really love him. The antichrist is coming to push the national Sunday law forcing all to violate the true sabbath, the fourth command. Jesus made it very clear that none of the commands will ever change (Matthew 5:18). Jesus said himself that he is the Lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8). People are going to pay for their rebellion and blasphemy! Since these rebellious hypocrites refuse to obey God’s word then God allow these lying delusions to further deceive them. The bible is all we need and it is an insult to God to say that his word is not enough. Titus 1:16, “They claim to know God but by their actions they deny him.” Those who don’t obey God do not know him for Jesus said that if you know him you would obey him.

We are still wondering about this.
My sons dream was bad at the beginning. He said he saw machines in arrow he also told me whom he saw.Being his dream he said he saw us ,my family and my husband’s family and some others that he didn’t know.well any who he drew pictures .He drew what looks like Guillotines. He said they were all side by side all in a row.Myson has never seen those things. Well I’m not gonna say what happened there, but he did mention people making fun of what was going on.He said right after that happens he opened his eyes he saw The gates of Heaven open, ourselfs and many other people were told to come in by two angels .He said the floor is pure gold.He said all that went in were being baptized by angels and 12 men that at first he didn’t know we’re the deciples and the clothes was changed to white robes after coming out the water. He said our clothes were changed an with out any marks on it thats how our Father wants it to be,he also said we got sandles well the way he drew them looks like guaraches. He said one of the twelve men asked him his name, then he asked. He was told I’m Paul.He also saw another ask his bother the same, while they had asked him.His brother also asked the name of the other man.He was told he was James. While that was going on he said my hubby and I and our youngest Were walked into a building where Jesus and our Father were. Then him and his brother were brought to where we were. He said we were told That they were happy that we are not going to be in the wrath. My youngest had said let’s celebrate it’s our first day in heaven. My son said that Jesus an the Father were both pleased. He said there was a big table and everybody that had come in through the gates were here .He said it is a lot of people.before his dream was over he said we all gave gifts to Jesus an our Father. He said some gave flowers others gave praise. My son said he was told to share the good news of his dream to everyone. Well any who I was curious I asked so what does Jesus look like?he said mommy he is very different, he is every where, he has no limits. I asked him about my self he said you look different very beautiful clean, everyone looks clean.i don’t know if by clean he ment purified clean of all sin. I was being nosy showed him pictures of family that he doesnt know .He straight up said o yes they were there too. He had even saidone of them got to heaven on the fourth day. Believe it or not I’m faithful all that he saw will be.I am also glad he said he was told we would not be in the wrath. Well any who I finally read to him the part that he saw happened at the begginnig of his dream.Revelation 20 : 4. He said he’s not scared he knows where we are going after that.

” Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” Matt 4:8-9

If the devil could give Jesus a vision like that, why can he not give a small boy a false vision of heaven? He IS the prince of the power of the air and a spiritual force of wickedness in heavenly places (Eph 2:2 and 6:12).

  42. Hello as most proberly false unbiblically vision.
However not primarely false because there are children in Heaven.
But most likely false vision because of other things.
Only see the things listed Biblically tested true:

Earthquake Kelly can be decived in other things not listed, but this shown biblically tested true.
About the vision you decerned Heaven is for real most likely as most visions unbiblically and false, but not because of children, as there are children also in Heaven. God bless all.
Some other people in comment also meantioned this.
It can actually be more like Narnia we will be younger in Heaven and not older. Narnia i Biblically inspired not all but much and its author Christian. God bless all. Bible is Gods Word, but if all things should be written down in Bible not all books in World can make it fit or all that Jesus did. Its like saying 1 World war and 2 World war did not happend because Bible Gods Word did not specifically say it, yes Bible code did, but talking about Bible Gods Word here. Much not said clearly in Bible Gods Word is still true, there are children in Heaven, those God loves most as younger the more sinless as toddlers and small children. Important we do not twist Bible Gods word in this be blessed all.
    http://www.openbible.info/topics/children_and_heaven
    God bless all.
But overall good decernment all not inline with Bible Gods Word we shall reject true, nomatter if a child say something or grownup, if not inline with Bible Gods Word reject it as its unbiblically evils.

    Be blessed all.
