IS SPIRITUAL COMMUNISM GROWING WITHIN THE MODERN CHURCH?

There is a subtle, but yet poignant spirit creeping into many within the modern church in today’s world. This particular spirit conveys another message far different than the established message of the cross, it conveys the sentiment that personal liberty and individual beliefs are detriment to the greater collective whole of the body of Christ. It stands opposed to the message of grace and instead, tries to implement the law, but more than the law, it becomes aggressive to the notion which says God calls every man individually and then equips that individual without the overall approval of others, namely, it rejects the cross of freedom and instead promotes a religious form of control and oppression, and many are becoming seduced by its influence while others are becoming advocates for this change. This spirit is a spirit very similar to Communism, and it’s leading many into bondage.

The purest definition of Communism is a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production. While this form of Government is still clinging onto many (albeit few) nations, those last few nations which rule under this form of Government (China being one) are finding themselves losing more and more control to a more greater power – global economics, which is slowly changing the last Communist strongholds in those parts of the world.

Yet there is another type or shadow of this same spirit which is having a far more influence into the lives of those who would give heed to its voice and it’s focusing on the church itself – the body of Christ. The message of the cross has literally become hi-jacked by the seeker friendly gospel many today are preaching. This message rejects individuality in favor of submitting to religious authority, in any form. The Government of 12, The Discipling movement, The Apostolic reformation, The Shepherding movement, The Joshua movement, The Hebrew Roots movement, and The Spiritual Covering movement, these movements within the church are becoming more and more collective in their agenda where the believer is finding themselves subjected to those who are in authority and ordered to submit to their religious authority.

Jesus warned us about true authority and submission when it came to those who follow him within the body in Matthew 20:25-27 “But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,”

The problem that was happening with the disciples was they were vying for power, who would lord over one another, in other words, just who would be “head” and who would submit? Jesus would have none of it, for the kingdom of God is not submitting to your brother, but submitting to God, yet loving your brother in all things. The same type of control is now, once again, treading within the modern church and its intent is to bring people once again under bondage – spiritual bondage.

When God calls a man or woman to ministry, he does so without the need of a committee, nor a code or mandate of religious submission to a local authoritative body of elders. God calls without the approval of man and more importantly, the approval of leadership. Yet within many groups and organizations or Denominations, there is a pre-set order of church “rules” or by-laws which mandate complete control of another individual who would desire to step out by faith into what God has called them to do. If the apostle Paul had been born today, would he be permitted to even establish a church? Or call himself Apostle? Would he even be allowed to preach? Not at all. Not in much of what is being passed off as scriptural approval by those who relegate so called “authority”.

Yet many a minister has either been hindered, or subjected to, and/or ultimately stopped dead in their tracks by others simply because they were either unyielding to submit to those who would try to control or manipulate them in their spiritual calling. The reason? Because Satan understands that if God truly calls a man or woman into service and that individual desires to be used, he will do everything possible to hinder and if possible, stop that ministry before it even gets started. That is the modus operandi of spiritual communism.

So what is the end game of this strange and yet dangerous agenda many are becoming enslaved with? The answer is complete and unyielding submission to the greater collective – a world religion. We see this shaping within the Roman Catholic church today and its desire to see all religions, including Islam, submit under the authority of the church of Rome. This is the spirit of antichrist, the face that is under the real mask of religion and this spirit of Communism spreading within the modern church today. It’s yet one more sign we are living in the last days and why it’s more important now than ever to submit yourself to God and his perfect will, not the will of others, but God’s will. That is the only solution to spiritual and religious control found in many churches today.
