They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” (1 John 2:19)

They look like us, they act like us, they go to our churches, sing the same songs we do, even pray as we do, and sometimes they even behave like us. On the outside they appear just as normal as you or I, but deep within them they are not the same, they are not like us, for behind the mask they wear so well, there lies a secret, one which reveals their true identity –  they are antichrist. Yet what makes them deadly is their deception, their sinister agenda, which is to serve a greater purpose, one which will change the very dynamics of Church doctrine when it comes to sanctification as it relates to the union between one man and one woman. They are homosexuals, and they are growing in number within the modern church.

In recent weeks we’ve seen popular Christian artists such as the lead singer for Jars of Clay openly give his support for gay marriage, not to mention the support for so called “gay” Christians. Then Vicky Beeching, a Contemporary Christian artist out of the UK , whose style and influence surprised many with her recent admission that she is a lesbian. Yet what is so astonishing is the fact that she believes completely in the idea which says she can live a life of perversion over the directives of the word of God, which openly condemns such a lifestyle. Yet Beeching is not the first, nor sadly will be the last of those who claim Christ to come out of the closet. Actually, she joins other well-known Christian artists such as Ray Boltz, Jennifer Knapp and Clay Aiken who themselves came out of the closet.

One might ask why is this occurring? Why are these individuals beginning to reveal themselves for who they are? Not to mention the perversion they have embraced. But why now? I believe the main reason we are seeing these instances of a growing number of people who call themselves “Christian” and are within the ranks of today’s modern church on some level, is a systematic plan of attack by the enemy to bring into the mainstream of Christianity a doctrine of perversion. Yet this was not a plan which was quickly pieced together overnight, this was years in the making.

On June 28, 1969 the homosexual political movement, which had previously defined its goal as “the right to be left alone,” took a militant turn. At the Stonewall Bar on Christopher Street in New York City, “gay” activists rioted against police who tried to arrest an underage “drag queen” prostitute. That episode of violent rebellion is now commemorated annually as “Gay Pride Day.”

Their inspiration was Herbert Marcuse, the German-born philosopher and political strategist who headed the “Frankfort School” of Cultural Marxism. From a perch in the highest branches of American academia Marcuse railed against “the repressive order of procreative sexuality” and called for the “disintegration of the…monogamic and patriarchal family.”*

In 1972, two hundred homosexual organizations, representing the entire LGBT movement, met in Chicago to outline their Marcusian agenda: a blueprint for supplanting Biblical morality with sexual anarchy — in essence, the overthrow of family-centered Christian civilization.

In 1973, their “long march through the institutions” began with the political takeover of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to redefine homosexuality as psychologically healthy.

In 2013, after just forty years, the last secular institution to resist LGBT bullying was finally subdued: the Boy Scouts of America.

One last barrier to “gay“ cultural hegemony remains: the Christian church. All of the battle-hardened “gay rights” activists with all of their formidable resources are mobilized for an assault on Christianity itself under the hijacked rainbow banner of “Gay Theology.” Indeed, the process has already begun, like the retreat of the tide before the tsunami.

The issue today is not if it will come, but when.

Because of the lack of scriptural, Bible based preaching in many of today’s pulpit’s across America, the lack of preaching against sin, and not holding up the standard of righteousness, more of these types of incidences will be occurring in the near future, leading many astray. That’s the key – leading many astray.

Christian music is one of the greatest venues which were given this spirit of perversion a platform to operate out of. Closet homosexuals are rampant within the ranks of Southern gospel music, CCM and the ever popular praise and worship. People like the late Dotti Rambo, Reba Rambo and the Martins, are just three of today’s popular Christian artists who have embraced, to some extent, this perversion. Sandy Patti has been associated with the gay community to one of being tolerant to their social plight. Bill Gaither, a promoter of ecumenism, found himself celebrating the life of one Marsha Stevens.

In late 2002, Bill Gaither and Mark Lowry met with and encouraged Marsha Stevens, the lesbian author of the popular gospel song “For These Tears I Died.” Stevens, who has a ministry called BALM (Born Again Lesbian Music), attended the Gaither Homecoming concert in Phoenix in December 2002, with her lesbian partner. Mark Lowry, who has sung with the Gaither Vocal Band for many years, approached her and said that he was proud of what she is doing. Surprised, she said, “You know what I’m doing now?” He replied: “I sure do and I wish the fundamentalists would find Jesus. They’re going to have a lot to answer for, leaving out people that Jesus died for” (source)

To be clear, homosexuality is sin, it is perverse, it is detriment to the spiritual life of those who find themselves actively participating in this lifestyle. It’s not only against the nature of creation, but it’s against the moral law of God, and those who continue in this lifestyle will not inherit eternal life.

The biggest danger to the church today is not the prosperity gospel, it is not the doctrine of Psychology, nor is it the false teaching of the hyper-grace message, or even the acceptance of the Roman Catholic church. The largest threat right now to the body of Christ will be the invasion of this teaching called the “gay theology”. This is why many within the church are “coming out” and not finding resistance. Because tolerance and diversity teachings have widely affected the church and those who follow Christ. In other words, people have been dumbed down to accept, or at least not speak out against what is clearly an assault to the foundation plan of God.

The invasion of this perversion is knocking on the doors of many a church, and if we’re not careful, we will ignore it in favor of being called “tolerant” and by doing so, we will lose more ground in this area than we did with the abortion issue. The sad truth is, this gay “theology” is nothing more than another plan of the enemy to strip the church, the body of Christ, from having an impact upon society. If he can silence may within the church, he can severely hinder it from its main directive – the preaching of the gospel.

When we see these people come out as gay and call themselves “Christians” they are fulfilling scripture, “having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:5)

The church must unite and stand against this evil, this perversion which is trying to make inroads within many of our popular brands of Christianity. We must take up the cross and challenge those who maintain one can live in sin and sinful behavior and still claim Christ. We must oppose any and all doctrine which rejects repentance, rejects God’s standard of living, and we must reject those who claim Christ but deny his regenerating power of the cross by remaining in their sin. (2 Cor. 5:17)

An invasion has begun, Satan’s attack is clear and open for all to see if we would just look at it through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. Once we allow the scales of apathy and tolerance to fall from our eyes, then we’ll see the great danger which is now pushing its way into the church of Jesus Christ, and how we need to respond, in love, but in stern condemnation.
