I’m very troubled within my spirit at the level of spiritual compromise (not ignorance because these men and women know what’s right and wrong) which is occurring within the church today of pastors and some pretty well known names, even in the Pentecostal movement, who are seemingly leaning to a general acceptance of the belief which says the Roman Catholic church and those within its structure are to be welcomed into the body of Christ. Here’s what I “see” coming prophetically speaking within the church in the near future: The day is coming where mainline Christianity in all its forms will have adopted a measure by which they will “unofficially” accept fellowship with the Roman Catholic church. While the mainline evangelical Denominations will appease the older generation by suggesting that they won’t support the doctrine of salvation within the RCC, they will however openly embrace Catholics regardless whether or not those individuals were truly born again or not, they will accept them as “brothers and sister”.

The once held great divide between both factions will be broken in an effort to merge spiritual policy under the guise of common spiritual/religious bond. This will finally put an end to almost a century or more of separation between the Catholic church and the Protestant church. However, the deception will come upon the evangelical church for compromising the gospel for conformity sake. The next merger will be in fact the Mormon church. The Mormons will be the second wave which will merge into the evangelical church and one which will cause great confusion. Yet it will not be the current leadership currently who will finally bring this about – it will be the younger generation leadership, those who are 35 and younger, the youth leaders of today who have fallen for the seeker sensitive gospel, the social gospel, the gospel of conformity to the world and other paths, these will be the leaders who will bring about this change after the older leadership dies off. Out of this will come a final end to traditional Pentecostalism, the Charismatic movement, all will be changed to endorse this new idea, unification. This is what I “see” that is about to come in the near future.

Christopher, I was shocked and a bit confounded by recent public statements made by the pope. He said unequivocally that that “God is not devine”; that He doesn’t need to be. He went on to say that Creationism and Evolution need not be exclusive of each other; that God created “life” which then evolved into the life forms we know today. Are most Catholics really accepting this thinking?? It will be a sad day for all Christians if Christianity accepts with open arms, Catholic Church doctrine. God help us if that acceptance then extends to Mormonism. As a Christian, I have always accepted any church or doctrine as long as they teach Jesus Christ, Him crucified, risen from the dead and sitting at the right hand of the Father. And, that He is the “Way the Truth and the Life” and no one comes unto the Father but by Him. If we get away from that – as Christian believers, what do we have?

I would also like to add to my previous comments that God IS divine, and that I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I have a huge problem with the teachings of the Catholic Church but will spare everyone by not expounding on my thoughts.
