Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34)

When the U.S. Supreme Court declared to the nation that homosexuals had the same rights as heterosexuals for equality when it came to marriage, cheers rang out across the country and a new sentiment was born. Banners declaring victory were draped along streets and sidewalks, colored rainbow flags adorned businesses, Government buildings and even the White House (source). Social media equally was lit up as millions tweeted on Twitter, or posted on their Facebook pages “Love Wins” as though a great battle had won. Yet it was this particular message of ‘Love Wins’ which stood out for many within the Christian community as prominent Christian leaders began to echo the same sentiment of ‘Love Wins’. Men such as Jay Bakker, Rob Bell and Tony Campolo were quick to attach their names to this sentiment which has become a badge of honor for the gay community. Yet what this phrase has become has more to do with what it really represents, who are the people that is promoting it, and why the church is in this mess in the first place.

The whole concept behind ‘Love Wins‘ has more to do with another gospel than it does a political/social cause, it is the message of a non-judgmental theology which not only accepts someone in their sin, but encourages them to continue in that sin without the need of repentance. This brings us back to what ‘Love Wins’ really represents – liberal Christianity. For over the past few decades, a subtle but growing idea began to emerge within the church and that idea was based on the position which said the gospel was not a condemning gospel (half truth), but a gospel of social acceptance. Christian authors, musicians/artists and charismatic preachers began to slowly embrace this progressive liberal approach to social behaviors in making those who are without Christ more comfortable when they come to church, and birthed a new type of message whereby the sinner is not condemned, but accepted as they are without the need for inward change.

With this new approach of liberal Christianity, the traditional, more conservative aspects of Christian doctrine which revealed man’s main problem (which was/is sin) and the doctrine of original sin, began to be deemed as unkind, uncaring and an aggressive approach rooted in an archaic form of evangelism which many began to reject as counterproductive to this new message of  tolerance and acceptance. Authors such as Brian McLaren, Rob Bell and Matthew Vine have become popular purveyors of this new ‘Love Wins’ liberal theology and the results can be seen in an entire change within the modern church today. As the older generation which tends to be more conservative in scripture interpretation, the growing segment of younger believing evangelicals are now embracing this new liberal twisting of God’s word and giving birth to not only a more vicious gospel, but one which is harming the sanctity of the word of God when it comes to the teaching of the cross.

‘Love Wins’, and the rising tide of seeker sensitive, emergent Christianity as well as its promoters, have created a new breed of theologists and preachers which no longer accept the literal version of the word of God, but instead promote their own view of truth not rooted in the cross, but in other forms of thought, such as Psychology. ‘Love Wins’ is the end result of what happens when the church slowly begins to move away from the core teachings of Christ and the foundation of the cross, to a more liberal form of religion where none are set free from their sin and bondage, but encouraged to remain as they are.

This type of liberal Christianity can be seen in its own tenants which are as follows:

1. Diversity of opinion which may lead from the truth.

2. Less emphasis on the literal interpretation of Scripture and more emphasis on man centered beliefs often rooted in Psychology.

3. An ambiguous view of God.

4. Non-traditional views on heaven and hell.

5. Less emphasis on evangelism and more emphasis on community service.

6. A works based form of theology and less on faith alone.

7. Ecumenical worldview.

8. Critical of traditional believers who rely solely upon scripture for guidance and instruction.

9. Rejection of the Deity of Christ and his sinlessness.

10. Non-judgmental presentation of the gospel.

This brings me back to where the modern church today is, and why something such as same sex marriage could prosper in our nation in such a relative short time. ‘Love Wins’ is the end result of the long held motto of many within the church today which says “Love the sinner and hate the sin” which is not only unscriptural and a creation by Mahatma Gandhi (Hindu), but demands a more non-judgmental approach based on Matthew 7:1 “Judge not”, an often misunderstood and routinely misapplied scripture to justify wrong doing. The truth is, we are called to judge (John 7:24). The reason why same sex marriage, the emergent church, seeker sensitive preachers and a liberal Christian gospel (which is in fact another gospel altogether) have now become accepted in our nation as well as in the modern church is in fact due to one thing – the rejection of the cross.

The apostle Paul warned us that in the last days men shall no longer hold to the same views as God requires us as believers, but “For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” (2 Timothy 3:2-4).  Yet worse, Paul gives us another glimpse of the spiritual decline within the church itself when he stated “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” (2 Timothy 4:3).

‘Love Wins’ is not only the result of the modern churches failure to cling to sound doctrine, but it’s a complete rejection of the only solution by which man can escape his eternal destination (Hell) and embrace the one thing which can save his soul – the cross. ‘Love Wins’ is another gospel, another path, another way.

Amen Brother Christopher. Most of us are having problems finding true and faithful brethren these days to fellowship and worship with who haven’t been corrupted/

On a christian tv program, I watched a mother who appeared as a guest
talking about her son who admitted to being homosexual. She told how hard
it was to take, yet she made up her mind to welcome the sons partner into
her home and treat him like family. I watched as the couple who hosted the
weekly program feel sorry for her and try to comfort her, even telling her they
understood and would probably do the same thing. I cringed at their advice.
In my heart I knew this was not the biblical way to handle this. Instead of them
joining hands and commanding that perverse spirit to depart from the son,
(and praying for the salvation of his “partner”) they seemed to have a laid-
back, “what shall be shall be” type of reaction, when it would have been so
much more scriptural to use the spiritual armor the Lord has given each of us
to take back what the enemy was trying to do to that family. I think the church
has become weak and lacks the power to overcome the wiles of the devil.
We must take back what is ours, and that especially means our families and
our destinies. What is in us is greater than what is in the world, according to the
TO STEAL FROM US!! The weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal, but MIGHTY
through God to the pulling DOWN of strongholds. The body of Christ must wake
    up from it’s slumber.
I pray for that mother to rise up and use the powerful word of God to overcome
this evil that is trying to destroy her sons life. Homosexuality is a sin; you cannot
make excuses for it. I have compassion for those that struggle with this, just
as I have compassion for anyone struggling with any issue. I love homosexuals
and have nothing personal against any of them. But because I love them, I will
not play “patty-cake” with the devil who is causing them to walk in deceit, and
especially christians who claim they cannot figure out if homosexuality is really
a sin or not. Anyone who says that has not read their bibles, or they are twisting
what the bible says to justify their attitude towards this issue. There is not one
place in the word of God where He mentions homosexuality in a positive light.
NOT ONE!! Yet, the one practicing this sin is welcome to come to Him for forgiveness,
in repentance, and to know HIm as their Lord and Savior, like anyone else.
There have been murderers, adulterers, thieves, child abusers, liars, and
every other kind of sinner/criminal, who have received God’s gift of eternal
salvation and been born-again. ANYONE who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus
will be saved! But that does not mean we can continue in a pattern of sin for
the rest of our lives. Ask God to set you free if you struggle with this.

  4. Marty Day says:

Homosexuality was considered a sin in ancient Middle Eastern monotheistic cultures and thus was fearfully and ignorantly inscribed into the holy books as a strong prohibition punishable by death along with ‘dissing your parents, infidelity, ‘dissing Elisha, heresy, working on the Sabbath, being the child of a guilty sinning father etc, etc. After decades of strenuous field examination by zoologists and biologists there is no question that homosexuality is not only practiced by “all” species of animals on the face of God’s green earth but that there are certain species where the practice is pandemic such as is found with the Albatross the giraffe and the sheep.

Furthermore microbiologists using gene and chromosome testing in gay subjects show a consistent pattern of a mutation of one the chromosomal make-up in varying degrees. In other words a male person who presents in adolescence as a more feminine prototype due to having a specific stretch of the X chromosome called Xq28 which holds a gene or genes that predisposes him to being gay. Specifically he has the physical reproductive characteristics of a male XY but is going to be attracted to the male sex by default, there is literally no choice for him and it is a condition which appears to be predetermined in utero.

Case in point; pastor Ted Arthur Haggard a fundamentally gay Christian man who for years spoke out against the “sin of homosexuality”, and promoted a program of healing by prayer and spiritual counseling. Yet it was discovered in November of 2006 that he was having sex with male escorts at exactly the same time. He has since lost all privileges as a pastor and was promptly removed from his position upon being exposed.

So the question is; does this man stand guilty of sin because of his celestial design, or because he chose not to fight an unwinnable war against his natural biology with which his creator so tenderly gifted him?

Oh, wearisome condition of humanity, born under one law, to another bound; vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity, created sick, commanded to be sound.

Source found in verified studies by Dean Hamer 1993, 1995 and peer reviewed November 2014 results seem to be agreed upon unanimously among biologists.

The bible was complied many, many years after Christ’s death. Originally, it had to be hand written and stuff was added or removed just as you would suspect. I never knew this. It is good to have the bible but it is better to have the living word, Christ. ajc I’m about tired of the gay thing. I’m also tired of the strip club thing with their filthy marqees, filthy men’s magazines etc. Ever read about the abused deceived temple prostitutes. I think all strip clubs should have to have naked vulgar men as well as women. They might not be so interesting then. There is a really good video by Sean Finnegan about religion past and present. It is hard to listen to, but true and helps you not get caught in fables. Also, maybe Sean, someone has a good video on how the bible (new testament was compiled). They never tell you this stuff or about 70 AD in church. I guess they like to keep you uninformed. Do something about the filthy men entertainment that hurts women so much.

  5. Wonderful, what a blog it is! This webpage presents valuable information to

I’m really inspired by your messages. I started reading your messages a couple of days ago. I was searching something on Google and got to see a message of yours. Thank you very much for the good work. You’re really bringing Christianity to it rightful place.

This is a good little write. Good job, though there are small amounts of biblical belief I don’t agree with, but it’d miniscule.
