“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8

There is a simple fact that every believer must acknowledge in their walk with Christ, and that is this, you and I are not God. Nor are we little gods. Nor do we have the same power or ability to think and act and create like God. Even more so, neither do our words have the same power as Gods words. The simple fact is, man is a creation of God, made a little above the angels itself, without the ability nor power to imitate God in action or in deeds, or in this case – words. The truth is, our words are not on the same level as God almighty and have virtually no power within themselves. In other words, when we speak nothing happens, but when God speaks everything happens, because he’s God and we’re not.

Yet there is a teaching which has gained prominence within the Charismatic/Pentecostal circles by suggesting that not only are we little gods, not only can we duplicate what God can do, we can equally speak things as a god and see those words literally transform nothing into something. It is called Positive Affirmation, or what is generally referred to by some as the power within the tongue. The belief is very simple, and very dangerous, but it goes something like this; A believer has a special need (money, health, career change, relationship, etc.) and they desire this with great fervor, but they don’t know how to bring it to pass. The answer? Simply speak it into existence. Sounds far fetched right? Yet if the truth be told, there are millions of Christians within the Charismatic/Pentecostal circles who have bought into this lie that says if one desires to change their circumstances in life, all one has to do is simply speak it into being and it will come. The problem is that it never works.

Teachers such as Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Jesse Duplantis and a boatload of others, have made millions of dollars in book sales all in trying to convince an unsuspecting Christian that they have the power within themselves to speak something out of nothing and gain whatever they want. The problem is, A) It’s not scriptural, and B) It’s not possible. To be clear, Jesus told us that if we followed him, that we too could (and would) perform miracles – but as the Spirit leads. The fact remains that while the gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid today (1 Corinthians chapter 12), the ability to just speak something is not only foolish, or unscriptural, it was never taught by the early church leaders, or Christ himself.

Believe it or not, the Positive Confession movement has no actual basis within the early church, nor was it rooted at all within modern or even past Christian teachings, it literally came from the occult world and went by another title, The Law of Attraction. This occult method is standard 101 information for anyone involved in the secret world of witchcraft and sorcery. The idea is simple, whatever you are attracted to, or desire, all you have to do is channel the strong desire within your mind to receive it, and by doing so, you can have it. This method has been utilized for hundreds, if not thousands of years by those who perform the dark arts of gaining whatever they desire. The problem with the confession, speaking it into existence, law of attraction is, it’s tapping into the spiritual realm, and certainly not what is of God.

It is amazing that when we examine the teachings and ideas promoted by a select few who claim to receive a revelation from God that is never based on the word of God, we begin to see its true source – Satan. Yet this is exactly the facts as it relates to the Positive Confession movement that has unfortunately polluted the church world today. From its roots from the early druids and pagans, the teaching of the Law of Attraction remains to this day the tool by which some within the modern church world has cleverly utilized which would deceive many by its false teachings. One would think that if they understood that ours is not to simply call forth everything into being that it would become true, nor by simply suggesting that if one merely spoke something by faith that it would happen. The truth is, God desires us to pray his will for whatever we need, not ours. This is the problem of self, it does not desire to submit to God’s perfect plan, but instead, rely on self and self desires (money, material things) to gain something simply by declaring it so. It’s all a clever ruse to blind the believer to a belief that he or she is able to do things on a thought, or word, and not rely on God’s word.

So how did this particular teaching come into the church today?

His name was E.W. Kenyon. Kenyon was born on April 25, 1867. He was introduced to the faith from the Methodist movement of that particular time. It was there he was introduced to the early teachings of the New Thought movement, and subsequently became aware of this new teaching which stated that if one speaks something, one will receive something, all by faith. Kenyon would go on to become affiliated with the growing Pentecostal movement which was happening in that time, the re-birth of the advent of the Pentecost in the book of Acts, and would find himself learning as well as teaching at the Emerson School. From the early writings of E.W. Kenyon, his works would include many gleanings from the occult world, new age spiritualism, and the Law of Attraction that would be taken and used by later generations, namely one Kenneth Hagin, who equally was influenced by Kenyon’s claims of Positive Affirmations.

Yet even though Kenyon was a contributor to what we now call “Positive Talk”, it has literally taken on a life of its own. But not just by the church world, even today, New Age teachers such as Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle, Rhonda Byrne (author of The Secret), as well as many more. This Law of Attraction, the ability to think and then say something into reality is not a product of man, far from it. The teaching itself dates back to one individual who said to himself “I shall be like the most high. I will place my throne above his.” – Satan. It was Satan who was the originator of Positive Confession, and it was Satan who went into the garden and said to Eve, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”(Genesis 3:1) For when Eve reminded Satan of what God said not to do, it as Satan who then presented a different way of thinking, “You surely will not die.”“For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:4-5)

Satan presented a positive affirmation, which was literally the foundation to Law of Attraction with Eve. Satan simply said, ignore what God says, confess that you shall have great wisdom and great understanding and I will not die. In other words, think it, say it and believe it and it will come to you. The reality is, Eve did receive understanding, but it was the understanding of what God strictly forbid, and thus, because of Adam, sin entered into the world. Thus, the Law of Attraction, power of the tongue to say something into existence is rooted directly from pride. It is sin.

If we could simply say things into reality, then why is there great trouble in the world? If we can simply speak something into being, then why is there hunger? Or war? Or death and disease? If there is power in our tongue, then why did Paul, the great Apostle who faced many a hardship pray three times that God would remove the thorn in his side, but God said “NO!”, but that his grace was sufficient for him? (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)

The fact is this, our authority is limited to what Christ has given to us in his word because of the cross, and nothing more. Yes, we have the power (authority) to claim some spiritual matters as it relates to our faith, but it must always be found consistent with the word of God, it can never go beyond God’s word. If we pray his will, then we will find our will and prayers will be aligned perfectly, even if some things we confess or pray for do not come, sometimes God simply says “No” and we must learn to trust him regardless, for he knows better than we.

Jesus only gives us authority to do what he commissioned us to do – preach the gospel, disciple the nations, heal the sick, cast out demons, etc. He does not give us ALL authority. Nor does he give us the power to speak things into being simply because we want it or desire it, that is the lure of the garden and the tree itself that Satan continues to tempt fallen man with, even Christians, that if we think it and say it, we can have it. But God says otherwise. Don’t fall for this trap, but instead trust God, pray with faith with what he has faithfully given to us, the cross, and believe for those things which he desires, that souls be saved. Everything else will come, or not come based on God’s determination and plan, not by our words.

“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23)
Part of the problem with a society, especially one which has been conditioned by popular culture found in sports, music, but most of all mediums – television, is that it conditions people into a world of make-believe. They begin to accept and embrace the character that is being portrayed by the actor, and the results devastating for many when the truth is finally revealed. We see this in the lives of those whom society praises for their performance, but the truth is, especially in the world of television, it’s ONLY a performance. This is the powerful medium of sitcom television.
So what happens when people learn that a lovable tv star whom they have invited into their living rooms week after week, month after month turns out to be anything BUT what they portrayed as their celebrated character? The people become upset, even betrayed. But the truth is, many find out eventually that the person they have idol worshiped was just as human as they were, this presents another problem, what happens when that individual who is placed on such a platform is shown to have attributes of a monster?
Yet we see this being played out right now in our society by a loved tv “dad” to millions, but also to children as well. Even I can remember when Bill Cosby echoed out his familiar “HEY-HEY-HEY!” back in the early 70’s with his Saturday morning cartoon/educational persona as the overweight, but moral guided Fat Albert. But Cosby would go on to greater fame and influence with his alter ego Dr. Cliff Huxtable, a lovable doctor/father figure who would be known for his comical antics, playful admonishments, and relentless teasing humor. The television show, “The Cosby Show” would go on to network fame for NBC during the 80’s, placing Bill Cosby into our society as America’s “dad”. But when knowledge of personal behaviors, episodes of drug use, and worst of all, allegations of rape surfaced, not by one, but many women of all nationalities, it became clear to all that once again, America’s persistent people worship would leave many with heavy hearts.
Yet the list of fallen stars who gained the nations trust, not to mention their wallets, is long as it is thorough. Names, which over the years were fondly spoken of, only to be stained by the mud they wallowed in, prove that this is the result of worship – human worship, that God tells us to avoid. The reason is simple, when God is removed as the object of our faith, glory and worship, then something – anything, must fill that void, such is the case of millions who follow after talents of men, be they a politician, actor, athlete or even a preacher, the results always end up the same – hurt.

In the city of Lystra there was a certain man who had no strength in his lower extremities, having been a cripple from the time he was born, he had never walked.

This man heard Paul preaching. Paul watched him, and seeing that he had faith to be healed, told him loudly, “Stand up on your feet immediately!” And, immediately he lept to his feet and walked. When the citizens of Lystra saw the miracle performed by Paul, they cried out in Lycaonian,
“The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” They thought Barnabas was Zeus (or Jupiter – the chief god of Greek and Roman mythology), and Paul was Hermes (or Mercury – the messenger of the gods of Greek and Roman mythology) because he spoke more than
Barnabas.

The priest of the god Zeus brought oxen and garlands to the gates of the city from the temple of Zeus, to sacrifice to Paul and Barnabas along with the crowd. When Paul and Barnabas realized what they were doing, they ran into the crowd tearing their clothes (in the manner of Mid-eastern mourning) and shouting. Why are you doing this?

There was nothing special about Barnabas and Paul that would place them on an equality with God to accept worship and sacrifice, they too were mere men, equal in the sight of God with all those in the crowd. Their message to those in Lystra was to turn away from doing things like this, no longer offering sacrifices to false gods or to men. The idols and gods which they worshiped were dead stone and incapable of doing anything, in contrast with the living God who has made the sky, the land, the water and all that are in all three. Sod had not, in the past, said anything to the Gentiles, but now he has sent his message to all men. That is the message which Paul and Barnabas were preaching to them. (Acts 14:8-20)
Even in the world of the church, we can see men being glorified to the level of worship, even praise, which should have went to God (as it’s reserved for him alone) being shown upon men. The results, like that of the secular world remain the same, when these men are shown to have feet of clay, the results are the same across the board – people are devastated. The reason is because we have become a society of man worship, be it celebrities or preachers, the worship of man is an abomination to God. It is an affront to all that is holy to the Lord.
Have you ever wondered why the early church never truly had this problem of man idolization? It’s mainly because the church always knew that God was the foundation of the church, and that its leaders were just that – men. But because of the instant influence of television, especially in the church world, we have made images made of flesh and bone into something greater than ourselves, much like the persona presented on television, these individuals have become something like saints to the non-catholic church. Peter had this encounter with Cornelius, who upon meeting Peter at the door, fell down to his feet and began to worship him. Peter immediately stopped and corrected him by saying, “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.” (Acts 10:25-26)
The only thing we are required to do as it relates to other believers who hold a calling from the Lord is to give them honor and nothing more, “Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.” (Romans 13:7)
True, the world will always find another source to worship, just as we see with Bill Cosby, his measure of fame is now ruined by his personal demons as a result of SIN, for someone else will come along to fill that void, and it’s only because they themselves cannot fill that void they so desperately seek, which can only be found in Jesus Christ. Yet the church must understand that the men and women they are putting up for all to worship is idolatry to the Lord, they are, as Peter said to Cornelius – men. They are flesh and blood. Yet by lifting these people up to such a level, not only harms the church, but the entire focus of our purpose, which is drawing men to Christ.
When idols of men fall, everyone suffers, and the reason is because of misplaced worship. When we look at another brother or sister in the faith, regardless of how much praise they have among others, or how many seats they can fill in a stadium, we must understand that if we place these individuals upon a platform of worship, the end result will always be failure, both on the person being glorified, and the Christian who follows them. It’s because we have left the purpose of the cross, where our only hope, our only salvation, our only desire should always be Christ centered and nothing more.
Let us remember the word as it comes to glorying in men, “Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless.” (1 Samuel 12:21)
The world will always find an idol, because they do not know the cross. Yet for the church to gain idols is because we have left the cross for something else. The solution must always be a returning to Christ and what he did on the cross, only then will we finally see an end (at least within the church) when idols fall.

T.D.Jakes

Dear Bishop Jakes,

For days, I have thought how should I approach this subject of which I am about to dive into with you, seeing how we have neither met, nor have we any mutual friends between us, still I find myself in a perplexing situation, and that is, how do I ask you a simple question to which I know would generate a response? I’m pretty sure a phone call won’t work as you have a private number. I thought maybe a phone call to your main office might be a good way of reaching you, but your personal secretary has made it all but impossible to people who are “unknown”. So I thought, how could I get your attention which would garner some type of response from you over a deep, penetrating question which still is lingering in my mind? I decided in the end that the best method would be to use my leverage as a blogger (which has over 700,000 readers) which would (I hope) have enough support that your office might respond to a simple question, and that is; What happened?

Now, I know to open up a letter to such an influential individual as yourself with the question “What happened?” might seem a little off, but it’s a genuinely real question to which I truly believe needs to be asked, what happened? Let me even delve further into the question I’m asking, which is, what happened to you and your position as a pastor as it relates to homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Pastor Jakes, you recently stated something on the issue of homosexuality in an interview with the Huffington Post in which you stated as it regards to your personal position on the subject, and I quote; “evolved and evolving”. Sir, what does that mean when you say ‘evolved and evolving?’. You see the dilemma I and many others are having concerning your recent comments on this matter? I certainly hope so because it’s beginning to sound less like a man who is remaining firm on the word of God, and more like a man who is becoming influenced by the social attitudes of our culture. This, in my opinion, is of grave concern. So I go back to my original question – What happened? Why are you obviously changing your views toward something (homosexuality) and not remaining faithful to the word of God?

Some of your followers would say you didn’t mean that, that it was simply a misquote, others would suggest that I am taking your words out of context, but here’s the truth to the matter, you didn’t say just one thing, you stated several. In the same interview that I quoted you, you stated, regarding to homosexuals and church, “The church should have the right to have its own convictions and values; if you don’t like those convictions and values [and] you totally disagree with it, don’t try to change my house, move into your own … and find somebody who gets what you get about faith,” Further, you stated “Absolutely… I think it is going to be diverse from church to church. Every church has a different opinion on the issue and every gay person is different,”.  “And I think that to speak that the church—the black church, the White church or any kind of church you wanna call it—are all the same, is totally not true.” (source)

So Bishop, how can you suggest that the church should have the right to its own convictions and values outside the word of God when it comes to homosexuality? Where is that option found in the word of God? Actually, the word tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;” this means that there is only one measure by which we judge truth – through the word. For that same word is not only inspired, but it is anointed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, this includes Paul’s admonition for Christian behavior when it comes to a lifestyle of sin – it cannot mix. Yet in the above quotes, you seem to give an indication that not only are your views on homosexuality and same sex marriage changing (evolved and evolving) but you suggest that each church can have a different opinion, even when that opinion runs contrary to the word of God. That sir is heresy!

Let me explain why I would even suggest that what you stated borders on heresy, let alone false. Paul states in Galatians 1:8 “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.”  It is another gospel to suggest that the church can formulate another point of view counter to what God has already deemed as false. It is what Paul calls another gospel. Paul further states in Galatians 5:19- “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”  This includes the acts of homosexuality.

Sir, you yourself knows that same sex marriage is wrong, you further know that those who live that lifestyle is equally wrong, and you further know that sin, regardless of what it is, separates man from God and the only solution is to repent and come to the cross. Yet you seem to have taken another view altogether on this matter, which begs the question once more – what happened? Has Oprah Winfrey influenced you that much? Has your success allowed you to forsake the call God has given you to stand for the word above all else? Including popular opinion, even at risk of being labeled intolerant? Or worse – a bigot?

Sir, only you can answer these questions I’ve asked. Only you can address this troubling and disturbing issue that has many wondering why you are waffling on this issue, which can only be resolved by defining for the record if you believe homosexuality is sin, but not only sin, but those who partake of it will not inherit the kingdom of God? Can you answer that? Will you answer that? I await your response.

house of God

For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

(A letter to the leaders of the body of Christ – and then a prophetic warning)

It’s been 24 hours now (at the time of this writing) since the landmark ruling came down from the U.S. Supreme Court which legalized same sex marriage, making it the law of the land, and yet I am stunned that we have drifted this far and this deep in not only perversion being accepted, but worse – ignored by most of the church. There have now been a total of four (4) Supreme Court rulings in this nation which has not only divided America, but also divided the church and they are:

1. Prayer removed from public schools (1962).

2. The Bible removed from public schools (1963).

3. Abortion became a legal right in the United States (1973).

4. Same sex marriage becomes the law of the land (2015).

In each of these court rulings the one common denominator which has connected them altogether was and is in fact the church itself remained silent. Some would accuse me of being too harsh, that the church as a whole has stood up to the progressive movement which has been swiftly been sweeping across the land since the late 60’s with the whole “sexual revolution” and into the beginning of the early 90’s when the liberal progressive movement started to take root into the heart of America. In each of these rulings, the church found itself dusting off the disbelief that these events not only took place, but questioned why they happened to begin with? The truth is, in each of these court rulings, it came about because the church refused to take part in the social movements of the times and in so doing, the church watched (almost apathetically at times) society give itself over to the spirit of lasciviousness as the culture drifted further and further away from the path which was laid before it. To say that nothing could have been done in each of these events is not simply disingenuous, but duplicitous as well. We, the body of Christ are to be blamed for what we are now seeing taking shape across this nation, much less the world, and we owe it all to the pulpits across America.

There was a time when the church prayed for America. From the early beginnings of this nation, to the start of the 20th century, saints prayed faithfully and often. In the efforts by the early saints God rewarded the early 20th century church with great moves of God, from Azusa street to the Appalachian revivals, God revealed and filled himself upon all those who diligently sought him and God blessed this nation. Yet as time progressed and society became more abundant with prosperous living, something began to happen to the early church, it began, not at once, but over time it found itself beginning to drift further and further away from the cross and by the time of the late 70’s, the church at that time was not the same as it was merely just 40 years previously.

Throughout the 1920s thru the 1960s, America as well as the church saw powerful moves of God. From the healing revivals of A.A. Allen to Oral Roberts and Jack Coe, to the prophetic tents of William Branham, the church was seeing great ministries and preachers such as Billy Sunday and Maria Woodworth Etter rise up and touch the heart of the nation. It was said that when Billy Sunday came into a particular city, that the bars would shutter their doors because of the impact of Billy’s message (which was the cross) had upon the lost. SInners got saved when Billy preached. Yet the church started to embrace things which would eventually not only change her directive (the harvest) to other things. By the 1980s the church had completely moved away from the message of the cross and in its place would come another gospel, another message, another cross. Let me quote to you A. W. Tozer, “There has come in modern times a new cross into popular evangelical circles. It is like the old cross, but different: the likenesses are superficial; the differences, fundamental. From this new cross has sprung a new philosophy of the Christian life, and from that new philosophy has come a new evangelical technique-a new type of meeting and a new kind of preaching. This new evangelism employs the same language as the old, but its content is not the same and its emphasis not as before. The old cross would have no truck with the world. For Adam’s proud flesh it meant the end of the journey. It carried into effect the sentence imposed by the law of Sinai. The new cross is not opposed to the human race; rather, it is a friendly pal and, if understood aright, it is the source of oceans of good clean fun and innocent enjoyment. It lets Adam live without interference. His life motivation is unchanged; he still lives for his own pleasure, only now he takes delight in singing choruses and watching religious movies instead of singing bawdy songs and drinking hard liquor. The accent is still on enjoyment, though the fun is now on a higher plane morally if not intellectually. The new cross encourages a new and entirely different evangelistic approach. The evangelist does not demand abnegation of the old life before a new life can be received. He preaches not contrasts but similarities. He seeks to key into public interest by showing that Christianity makes no unpleasant demands; rather, it offers the same thing the world does, only on a higher level. Whatever the sin-mad world happens to be clamoring after at the moment is cleverly shown to be the very thing the gospel offers, only the religious product is better. The new cross does not slay the sinner, it redirects him. It gears him into a cleaner and jollier way of living and saves his self-respect. To the self-assertive it says, “Come and assert yourself for Christ.” To the egotist it says, “Come and do your boasting in the Lord.” To the thrill seeker it says, “Come and enjoy the thrill of Christian fellowship.” The Christian message is slanted in the direction of the current vogue in order to make it acceptable to the public. The philosophy back of this kind of thing may be sincere but its sincerity does not save it from being false. It is false because it is blind. It misses completely the whole meaning of the cross. The old cross is a symbol of death. It stands for the abrupt, violent end of a human being. The man in Roman times who took up his cross and started down the road had already said good-by to his friends. He was not coming back. He was going out to have it ended. The cross made no compromise, modified nothing, spared nothing; it slew all of the man, completely and for good. It did not try to keep on good terms with its victim. It struck cruel and hard, and when it had finished its work, the man was no more. The race of Adam is under death sentence. There is no commutation and no escape. God cannot approve any of the fruits of sin, however innocent they may appear or beautiful to the eyes of men. God salvages the individual by liquidating him and then raising him again to newness of life. That evangelism which draws friendly parallels between the ways of God and the ways of men is false to the Bible and cruel to the souls of its hearers. The faith of Christ does not parallel the world, it intersects it. In coming to Christ we do not bring our old life up onto a higher plane; we leave it at the cross. The corn of wheat must fall into the ground and die. We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. God offers life, but not an improved old life. The life He offers is life out of death. It stands always on the far side of the cross. Whoever would possess it must pass under the rod. He must repudiate himself and concur in God’s just sentence against him. What does this mean to the individual, the condemned man who would find life in Christ Jesus? How can this theology be translated into life? Simply, he must repent and believe. He must forsake his sins and then go on to forsake himself. Let him cover nothing, defend nothing, excuse nothing. Let him not seek to make terms with God, but let him bow his head before the stroke of God’s stern displeasure and acknowledge himself worthy to die. Having done this let him gaze with simple trust upon the risen Saviour, and from Him will come life and rebirth and cleansing and power. The cross that ended the earthly life of Jesus now puts an end to the sinner; and the power that raised Christ from the dead now raises him to a new life along with Christ. To any who may object to this or count it merely a narrow and private view of truth, let me say God has set His hallmark of approval upon this message from Paul’s day to the present. Whether stated in these exact words or not, this has been the content of all preaching that has brought life and power to the world through the centuries. The mystics, the reformers, the revivalists have put their emphasis here, and signs and wonders and mighty operations of the Holy Ghost gave witness to God’s approval. Dare we, the heirs of such a legacy of power, tamper with the truth? Dare we with our stubby pencils erase the lines of the blueprint or alter the pattern shown us in the Mount? May God forbid. Let us preach the old cross and we will know the old power. (A. W. Tozer, Man, the Dwelling Place of God, 1966)

As our nation grew further and further away from the truth, the church grew more and more silent. We see this in its current message, from the prosperity gospel, or a love gospel without judgment, to Psychology as a replacement to the gospel message, whereby man’s problem is not sin, but self. Today, we have popular preachers occupying the pulpits throughout much of nation and its churches which is preaching something other than the cross, be it money, to self help, to living a good life, instead of ‘Deny yourself’ we are now preaching tolerance. This is why most pastors today would rather ignore, reject and by all accounts refuse to touch these subjects, because the people themselves no longer wish to hear the truth. And when the church no longer is salt (Matthew 5:13) it loses its purpose and its influence upon the very society who needs the truth. Hence why we are to be blamed for the past (4) court rulings which have brought this nation into great peril before the Lord, for let me remind us all that any nation who rejects God will end up in ruin (Psalm 9:17).

Thus, here we are today once again where the United States highest court has changed the nation to an even greater sin, the perversion of what God has always deemed as the only method of marriage, and the church for the most part is taking it as business as usual. But soon that will change.

While in prayer last night (and today with the moving of the Holy Spirit) the Lord revealed to me something which is coming upon this nation, it is this; God is about to shake this nation in such a way that it will shake even the church up from its slumber, and that shaking will cause a stir in the heart of God’s people and once again bring her back to the cross. This shaking will show us that God is not pleased with where this nation is going, for it has departed the path the church once helped guided it on. I leave you this word found in Jeremiah 8:18-20 “My joy is gone; grief is upon me; my heart is sick within me. Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people from the length and breadth of the land: “Is the LORD not in Zion? Is her King not in her?” “Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved images and with their foreign idols? “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

mystery man

Today while driving, I felt the Lord begin to speak into my spirit, it was a constant tug at my heart and soul of a prophetic word that I believe God was beginning to reveal to me of what is yet to come within the modern church, here is that word and what I believe will happen very soon. The Lord revealed that soon, there shall be a spiritual leader within the Charismatic movement (possibly a pastor) who is well known to the church, will reveal to all of his secret lifestyle, he will announce to the church and his many followers that he is homosexual. This man will forsake his wife and family to follow this lifestyle of sin. I hear in my spirit, “The perversion shall come from within, not from without” and this man and his agenda, will open the doorway to the same sex issue, for none will speak against him. I believe what I have heard is future, that this Charismatic leader and preacher will be used by Satan to unleash the spirit of perversion upon the evangelical, Charismatic/Pentecostal movement a spirit of great delusion. Again, there is one whom is a famous Charismatic leader/preacher/pastor who currently lives a life of secret perversion, that will reveal to all the church world of his true sexual identity, and this man will lead the way for embracing that which cannot be embraced. That is what the Lord spoke and revealed to me today that is yet to come.

Carrie-Underwood

“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)

The church is changing, not just in doctrines which reflect a more socially accepted or tolerant gospel message, but equally what is changing within the structure of the modern church is a new face of Christianity. Today’s so called “Christian” image is less dogma whose foundation was on a strict adherence to the word, but a more liberal appeal which relies more on making people feel more accepted in their sins and less convicted of their sins. This is the new modern Christianity which is sweeping much of the church today in America – progressive Christianity.

When Carrie Underwood began to promote herself as a Christian, she took upon that role to potentially hundreds of thousands of followers, and do they pay attention to what she says and does. The statements recently by Underwood, where she surprised some of her more conservative Christian followers regarding her real feelings about same sex marriage and homosexuality, ruffled some feathers within the Christian community, but as time progressed, more and more believers have since seemed to have a more accepting view of Carrie’s position, especially among Christians 35 and under. During a 2012 interview, Underwood made the following revelation concerning gay marriage, ““As a married person myself, I don’t know what it’s like to be told I can’t marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I can’t imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.” (source)

Not only does Carrie believe and support gay rights and gay marriage, but she attends an evangelical Church which now openly embraces this new type of Christianity. But it’s deadly.

The reality which is coming into play in these last days is something which many (myself included) have been warning about – a new take on an old act is beginning to resurface, but unlike the past few decades, this particular movement is not only undermining the gospel, but it’s taking the form and shape of a more tolerable message in that it’s built upon personal beliefs, even if those beliefs run contrary to the word, and less when it comes to sound doctrine. This new (old) form is nothing more than Gnosticism. It is antichrist, and many are being led away from its proponents.

What is Gnosticism? In short: GNOSTICISM IS THE TEACHING based on Gnosis, the knowledge of transcendence arrived at by way of interior, intuitive means. Although Gnosticism thus rests on personal religious experience, it is a mistake to assume all such experience results in Gnostic recognitions. It is nearer the truth to say that Gnosticism expresses a specific religious experience, an experience that does not lend itself to the language of theology or philosophy, but which is instead closely affinitized to, and expresses itself through, the medium of myth. Indeed, one finds that most Gnostic scriptures take the forms of myths.

In other words, if it feels good to you, and you’re happy with your belief, then God is fine with you as well. It’s a lie from the pit of hell. The word speaks about searching another path – “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.” (John 10:1) The reality is this, if someone says “this is a better way” or “This idea is better than your version of Christianity” run from such deceit.

Yet it’s not only Underwood whose presenting this new gospel, but others long before Carrie have taken the reigns to preach another gospel, another Jesus, another way. Oprah Winfrey, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren are just a few who are selectively guiding the people into a new version of Christianity, and it is antichrist. This is the result of Satan, knowing that his time is getting shorter as the years progress toward that fateful climax, is producing prophets who are determined to lead an entire generation of people – including Christians, away from the cross. The facts remain the same, if it accepts homosexuality, if it points to another door, if it leads to another way – it is false! It must still be the cross, the cross is the end to the law and the beginning of faith. Unless people turn from sin and corruption, it is another gospel, another message, another Christ. This is part of what I have been warning against, another version of a greater lie, and many are accepting it as fact, but it’s false.

It is important that the believer in this time and hour in which we live, begin to weigh the message of those in whom they are listening to, for if it embraces perversion, wickedness and sin over the words of God found in his word, then to embrace that message is giving it approval, which leads to one thing – apostasy. These are the end times, Satan is preaching more of his twisted self-serving “gospel” message than ever before, and it’s only going to get worse. Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Beyonce’, and so many others who are projecting an angel of light message, are damning millions to this new gospel, but it’s a message of a sinister plot to only deceive. Unless the church stands up and opposes this form of message, I fear many will be lost in the wake of its message, and find themselves castaway in the eternal passages of that placed that was originally reserved for Satan and his minions – Hell.

bookcover1

Since 2008, God has been giving me dreams and visions as well as the spoken word of things which are coming to this world, many of which has already occurred, things like the election of 2012, the Japan earthquake and other significant events in the history of the church as well as the world. But now I’ve complied them all into this new book called “The Prophecy”.  Here I go into detail that would take months to people to search and save once they found them. I believe this is what God has been warning me that is coming and which we need to be prepared for. The link to ordering this book can be found [here] and I pray it is a blessing for you.
